    Description

As a seasoned leatherworker or just a beginner, one of the most important items on your workbench is a good wax. Whether it be for waxing thread, needles, pricking irons, or burnishing your leather items edges a good robust, and trustworthy wax is paramount to getting a good result.
We have been hard at work testing a variety of recipes and have come up with the only wax we will ever use again, Six Wax.
Six Wax is a combination of three 100% organic and ethically manufactured and supplied waxes. These include Beeswax from a local Northwest bee farm and honey supplier, Candelilla Wax, and Carnuba Wax.
What you end up with is a high sheen burnished edge, slick thread, and above average leather items that really do stand out from others.
When using our Six Wax we recommend the following:
    1. Wet the edge of the leather and use the provided canvas rag to brush the edge in one direction, that of the prominent grain, you will be able to tell as you will get a smooth surface with no fibers standing on edge.
    2. Wait for the wet to dry for a few minutes, perfect time for coffee, and then apply our Six wax to all edges you plan to burnish at once.
    3. Work your way around to the beginning, once back at the start use the canvas cloth provided to give a light burnish, this is more to even out the wax on the edge.
    4. Apply one more light layer of Six Wax and if you have a Dremel powered burnisher finish up with that, or go back over once more with a swifter burnish using the canvas rag. You should not need anything more than our canvas rag to get a great edge, however, if you want a higher gloss the power burnisher is a great option.
This item comes with a single canvas rag. Orders of more than one quantity will not include another rag unless you exceed (3) wax pucks. We have been using a single canvas rag through (8) pucks and actually enjoy the accumulation of wax in the fibers.
